Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline About the Role We are seeking an experienced Mechanical & Machining Engineer to support the development and manufacturing of high-precision components used in advanced nuclear technology. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with strong hands-on machining experience who enjoys developing innovative manufacturing solutions and working with complex, high-precision components. Hands-on ceramic machining experience is strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities Develop and improve in-house machining capabilities and processes. Design and machine production tooling, fixtures, and prototypes. Review engineering drawings and perform Design for Manufacturability (DFM) analysis. Develop solutions to machining and quality issues. Support cost-reduction and manufacturing process improvement initiatives. Identify and maintain machine shop equipment. Collaborate with external machine shops on production capacity and scheduling. Manufacture high-quality precision components according to required specifications. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline. 5+ years of mechanical design and machine shop experience. Experience with CNC machining and programming. Strong knowledge of GD&T and inspection procedures. Experience with precision machining and manufacturing processes. Preferred Skills Hands-on ceramic machining experience, including wire EDM, diamond grinding, or CNC milling. Experience operating CNC and conventional lathe and mill machines. Experience with CMMs and other precision metrology systems. Proficiency with SolidWorks, Mastercam, or similar software. Experience with high-precision components and tooling.
