Mechanical Design Engineer 1 Posted on February 3, 2026 February 3, 2026 by JMJ Phillip We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer 1 to contribute to the development and improvement of mechanical systems and components. This role involves designing, analyzing, and supporting engineering projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure quality, efficiency, and innovation in all deliverables. Position Responsibilities Design & Development Create and develop mechanical designs for products, components, and assemblies Generate detailed drawings, schematics, and specifications using CAD software Ensure designs meet functional, safety, and quality requirements Analysis & Testing Perform mechanical calculations and simulations to validate design performance Conduct testing and troubleshooting of prototypes or existing products Identify design improvements based on test results and engineering feedback Collaboration & Documentation Work closely with manufacturing, quality, and project teams to implement designs Maintain accurate design documentation and revision records Participate in design reviews and provide technical input Project Support Assist in planning, scheduling, and executing engineering tasks Provide technical support to internal teams during production or implementation Contribute to problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives Prerequisites Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills Knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Certifications (Preferred, but not Required) Professional Engineering (PE) license Certification in CAD software or mechanical design What the Role Offers Salary range of $90,000 - $125,000 Opportunities for professional growth and skill development Exposure to innovative engineering projects and technologies Collaborative work environment with cross-functional teams Why La Vergne?
