Job Description
ENGINEER I ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Provides support, as required, to ensure that a safe and healthful environment is provided for all employees and compliance to all government regulations and corporate policies are maintained.
- Develops expertise with respect to the Facilities manufacturing equipment and processes in order to support manufacturing initiatives that meet customer and business requirements.
- Assists with the development of mechanical knowledge and skills for technical resources and others in order to support manufacturing initiatives that meet customer and business requirements.
- Provides technical expertise with regards to mechanical design of components, equipment, and processes through the utilization of engineering principles: commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Provides daily manufacturing support by assisting operating teams and technical resources to analyze and resolve process issues related to equipment, product quality, and productivity as required.
- Assists with the development of machine centerlines and good run settings.
- Participates in and/or provides coordination and leadership for projects. This includes continuous or process improvement initiatives, equipment modifications, and equipment installation projects.
- Utilizes tools to ensure objectives are met with defined and agreed upon results, Scope Documents, and visual management tools to keep stakeholders informed and actions timely performed, Project Timelines.
- Provides technical support for the commercialization of new products, processes, or systems for any of the Facility manufacturing processes as required.
- Coordinates the fabrication, operation, installation, and/or repair of equipment and processes.
- Participates in continuous improvement activities as required with respect to safety, quality, productivity, and cost initiatives.
- Provides support to purchasing by providing equipment specifications and/or requirements, resolve equipment or parts issues, and realize cost savings opportunities with equipment vendors or parts suppliers.
- Participates in analyzing production, waste, and delay information to identify opportunities to maximize output, reduce waste and improve overall asset efficiencies.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential accountabilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.) Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or equivalent with 2 years Process/Mechanical Engineering experience; alternatively non-degreed participants that can demonstrate required skills and aptitude with six (6) years of experience are acceptable. Working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D for part and plant drawings, 3D/Inventor experience a plus. Proficient computer skills including MS Excel, Word, Power Point, and Project. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate utilizing written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical skills. Must be well organized with the ability to support and participate in multiple projects and tasks concurrently. Ability to develop training materials and effectively train adult learners. Capacity to enhance education and technical skills. Experience with SPC (Statistical Process Control), Process Capability, and data-driven problem-solving. Experience with team-based problem solving and process resolution.ENGINEER
II- Provides leadership and technical direction to ensure process designs conform to sanitary standards and have the capability to produce products that meet both customer and business requirements. Ensures the use of proven methodologies (statistical based analysis) to ensure that products and processes are created and utilized in the most efficient manner. Supports commercialization trials. Identifies and capitalizes on opportunities for process efficiency, continuous improvement, associate development, and cost savings; completes said projects while reducing costs by streamlining processes and implementation of efficient systems. Identifies root cause to manufacturing issues. Reverse engineers machine components to improve functionality and reliability. Provides technical expertise with regards to mechanical design of components, equipment, and processesQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.)- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering) or a relevant scientific based degree plus 3 years of direct process support engineering experience required or equivalent combination of related education and experience. Supervisory experience desired.
- Demonstrated process engineering improvement/knowledge to drive efficiency and cost savings.
- Experience with automated packaging equipment and sanitary processing (food, liquids, cosmetic or medical) and experience in machine installs, checkouts and acceptance testing preferred.
