About this Role NorthStar Energy Services is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Professional Engineering Consulting team. This role supports the mechanical and piping design of energy, midstream, and petrochemical facilities, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver safe, compliant, and constructible designs. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for leading mechanical design development, equipment specification, and code compliance across the full project lifecycle. What You'll Do Engineering & Design Develop mechanical and piping designs for pipeline facilities, compressor stations, pump stations, tank terminals, and truck loading facilities. Perform line sizing calculations, pipe support load analysis, and nozzle load stress evaluations in accordance with applicable codes and standards. Lead piping layout development and review PPFDs and P&IDs to ensure mechanical designs align with process and operational requirements. Specify rotating and fixed equipment including pressure vessels, tanks, pumps, compressors, turbines, separators, and filtration systems. Apply mechanical design principles related to materials, metallurgy, manufacturing methods, and pressure relief systems. Deliverable & Project Support Coordinate mechanical deliverables with project team members across engineering disciplines. Perform QA/QC reviews of mechanical drawings, calculations, and technical documents. Review and integrate company standards, regulatory requirements, and site-specific data (including geotechnical reports) into mechanical designs. Review and respond to RFIs and evaluate third-party vendor drawings for design compatibility. Support field activities and site visits to obtain design-relevant information and support project execution. What You'll Bring Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering 10 Years of total experience, 5+ years of direct mechanical engineering experience supporting midstream energy or petrochemical facilities Strong working knowledge of piping systems, stress analysis, and mechanical equipment design Experience with CAESAR II, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite Proven ability to interpret and apply applicable codes and standards including:

VIII ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8 API 610, 674/675/676, 682 API 520/521, API 620, API 650, API 12C
