We are recently part of the KB Components global company based out of Sweden. We are looking for an experienced Tooling to join our Texas team! Monday-Friday 1st shift We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Tooling Engineer to join our innovative manufacturing team with programming skills, experience with CNC and wiring, experience dealing with customers and vendors. You will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and maintaining tooling solutions that optimize production processes across our manufacturing facilities. Your expertise will drive efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring our manufacturing operations meet the highest standards of excellence. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive engineer passionate about advancing manufacturing technology and tooling systems. Responsibilities Design, develop, and validate tooling solutions using Collaborate with process engineers and production teams to identify tooling needs and implement effective solutions for plastics injection molding, CNC machining, and assembly lines. Program and troubleshoot robotics and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to automate tooling operations and enhance manufacturing efficiency. Conduct root cause analysis on tooling failures or defects, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Develop schematics, technical drawings, and fabrication plans adhering to GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards for precision tooling components. Support fabrication and assembly activities by providing mechanical knowledge on welding, CNC programming, CAM programming, and fabrication techniques. Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on lean manufacturing principles to optimize tooling processes and reduce waste. Maintain detailed documentation of tooling designs, schematics, process engineering procedures, and factory records in compliance with
ISO 9001
standards. Experience Proven experience in industrial engineering or process engineering within a manufacturing facility environment. Strong background in mechanical engineering principles related to tooling design. Skilled in robotics programming, CNC programming , vision inspection systems, and industrial equipment maintenance. Knowledge of plastics injection molding processes and associated tooling requirements. Familiarity with factory experience involving assembly lines, robotics integration, welding techniques, and fabrication methods. Ability to perform root cause analysis effectively using structured problem-solving methods. Understanding of lean manufacturing practices aimed at continuous improvement within a manufacturing setting.
