Role Description The Mechanical Engineer will support the design, testing, and evaluation of assembled oil-field tools, non-metallics, and other components used in demanding Oil & Gas and chemical processing environments. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing mechanical designs, creating and reviewing CAD models and drawings, and collaborating with laboratory staff to design test fixtures and interpret test results. The role involves contributing to research and development projects, optimizing materials and designs for performance and durability, and preparing technical documentation and reports for internal and client use. The Mechanical Engineer will work closely with project teams to manage timelines, coordinate with customers, and ensure that engineering solutions align with industry standards and client requirements. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Fort Worth, TX. Responsibilities & Qualifications Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering principles, including stress analysis, materials behavior, and fluid/thermal interactions. Proficiency in Machine Design and structural analysis for components used in high-pressure, high-temperature, and corrosive environments. Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 3D modeling, detailed drawings, and design revisions. Ability to contribute to Research and Development (R D) activities, including experimental design, data analysis, and design optimization. Experience with Project Management practices such as task planning, timeline tracking, and cross-functional coordination. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Engineering, or closely related field (4?year degree required). At least two years of experience in the oil and gas industry or a relevant engineering field involving mechanical testing, equipment qualification, or reliability engineering is preferred. Working knowledge of laboratory testing methods and equipment (e.g., mechanical load frames, pressure vessels, environmental chambers, data acquisition systems) Familiarity with ISO, ASTM, and API standards relevant to mechanical and materials testing is preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Comfort working in a laboratory and industrial environment, including collaboration with testing technicians and field-oriented personnel. Working Conditions Work is performed indoors in environmentally controlled office and laboratory environments at Alpine's Fort Worth facility (1325 Ranchers Legacy Trail, Fort Worth, TX 76126). PPE is provided for work involving high pressure, chemicals, ovens, and other specialized equipment. While performing the duties of this job, you will frequently stand, walk, talk, and hear, and occasionally sit, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch.

Pay Range:

$30-$40/hr
