As a Design Engineer 3, you'll contribute to meaningful projects that shape the future of aerospace. This position contributes to our vision by: Confers with customers and vendors on conceptual configuration and initial design requirements for various new and on-going seat programs. Reviews design specifications and incorporates into assigned product. Prepares lay-outs of overall design task including structural and articulation systems. Defines design standards to maintain commonality with existing product line. Defines and sets goals as to complete tasks as expeditiously as possible. Prepares advanced bill of materials and long-lead item list. Review design package to assure conformance to latest specifications and regulations. Prepares drawings for release.What we offer:

- Must have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Design Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical and Energy Engineering or a related engineering degree (minimum of 12 years equivalent related engineering experience will be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree) OR • Must have a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Design Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical and Energy Engineering or a related engineering degree.
- plus an additional 5 years of related design experience required with Bachelors degree.
- plus an additional 4 years of related design experience required with Masters degree.
- Applicable experience may be acquired prior to, during, or following completion of degree.
- Must have excellent drafting skills in
CATIA V5
(or higher) and/or Pro/Engineer.- Requires advanced knowledge of aircraft seat products.
- Must have good knowledge of materials and production processes, and mechanical knowledge of parts and stress conditions.
- Requirement have the ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment.
- Ability to read and review written communication.
