Job Description

Job Description
  •  Design, engineer, and support mechanical systems for baggage handling equipment such as conveyor lines, sortation systems, carousels, and related machinery.
  •  Analyze design feasibility, performance, and cost impacts for new system concepts and modifications to existing equipment.
  •  Partner with electrical engineers, project managers, and operations teams to ensure mechanical designs integrate smoothly with broader airport systems.
  •  Perform engineering calculations and simulations to validate system performance, reliability, and safety.
  •  Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, and installation or maintenance guidelines.
  •  Evaluate existing baggage handling equipment and recommend design improvements or performance optimizations.
  •  Assist with the selection and qualification of mechanical components and vendors, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
  •  Troubleshoot mechanical issues in active baggage handling systems and support root-cause analysis alongside maintenance teams.
  •  Stay current on on industry standards, emerging technologies, and best practices within mechanical and material handling engineering.

  •  Associate or bachelor's degree within Construction Management or 1 year of hands on experience
  •  Basic understanding of BIM software's (Revit, Navisworks, Auto
CAD, ACC
)
  •  Understanding of Microsoft Suite
  •  Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  •  Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
  •  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
