We're looking for a motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design and production of mechanical systems for commercial projects, with a particular focus on restaurant and retail facilities . This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys hands-on design work, wants to learn from experienced professionals, and is interested in taking on greater responsibility as their career develops. Approximately 80% of the role will focus on mechanical design and production , with the remaining time dedicated to project coordination and developing project management skills. What You'll Do Design and develop HVAC systems for commercial projects , including restaurant and retail facilities Perform heating and cooling load calculations Develop HVAC system layouts and perform duct sizing Prepare detailed mechanical construction documents, drawings, and specifications Perform engineering calculations and system design under the guidance of senior engineering staff Assist with equipment selections and mechanical system development Coordinate mechanical designs with architects, engineers, and other project disciplines Support project teams in meeting established deadlines, budgets, and quality standards Review and incorporate design changes and project requirements Work closely with senior engineers on the technical execution and delivery of assigned projects Develop project coordination and project management skills as you progress What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university preferred 3-5 years of practical mechanical design experience Commercial HVAC design experience strongly preferred, particularly restaurant and retail projects Experience with HVAC load calculations, system layouts, and duct sizing Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite FE/EIT certification highly preferred Interest in pursuing a PE license preferred, but not required Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and organizational skills Positive, team-oriented attitude with a genuine desire to learn and grow Why Join Us?
