Utilizing industry proven best practices, can ensure fast, efficient designs and configurations that are well-documented and sustainable, with or without ongoing support. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to take projects from concept through production, ensuring functionality, reliability, and cost efficiency. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Work with sales, manufacturing, and clients to understand their fountain, aquatic playground and water park requirements and standards Ability to follow safety standards while leading and inspiring workers in a team environment, assist in the training of plant personnel, and promote culture of safety and continuous improvement Work with suppliers to develop new ways of working and implement technology where applicable Cross training through the engineering department and assisting in areas as needed Ability to generate bills of material, work instructions, installation instructions and standard operating procedures Develop and review CAD project drawings and perform initial and ongoing design reviews Deliver documentation offering critical analysis and suggestions for correcting errors Identify engineering deficiencies and develop solutions to improve those deficiencies Analyzes task schedule to prioritize workload Actively seek to improve products, processes, quality, service, and employees by proposing and implementing new ways of working through all departments Follow safety standards and work to drive a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Other duties may be assigned by Manager or Supervisor Qualifications Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field Five to ten years of mechanical and/or hydraulic design experience Proficiency in design and 3D CAD modeling and drawing creation Strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills Hands-on experience with fabrication, controls integration, troubleshooting, or maintenance of mechanical/electrical water systems Computer Skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook. SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Rhino3D, CNC programming, ERP/MRP systems - SAGE is a plus
