Position Summary:
The Product Engineering Associate supports the Product Engineering team by assisting in hardware analysis, troubleshooting, process improvement, inventory control, and product quality initiatives. This role is responsible for supporting engineering operations related to system failures, defect handling, material disposition, and maintaining accurate inventory and aging management processes. The associate will collaborate closely with Production, Quality, Warehouse, and Engineering teams to ensure product reliability and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Product & Engineering Support
- Assist with hardware troubleshooting, system diagnostics, and root cause investigations.
- Support validation and testing activities for product systems and hardware components.
- Help document troubleshooting guides (TSGs), failure analysis reports, and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, QA, NPI, and Warehouse operations.
- Support engineering improvement initiatives focused on quality, reliability, and process optimization. Inventory & Aging Management
- Maintain accurate real-time inventory tracking with a target of 100% system-to-physical accuracy.
- Monitor "Days on Hand" metrics for defective inventory and aging materials.
- Implement and support
FIFO/FEFO
inventory management practices for defective materials.
- Escalate parts exceeding agreed aging thresholds (example: 30 days) to Procurement or Quality for final disposition.
- Assist with inventory audits, cycle counts, and material reconciliation activities. Disposition Flow (Inter-Departmental)
- Serve as a support liaison between Warehouse, Quality, and Engineering teams for material disposition activities.
- Ensure defective or non-conforming materials are categorized appropriately as Return to Vendor (RTV), Rework, or Scrap.
- Coordinate disposition processing within 72 hours of material arrival whenever possible.
- Maintain accurate records and tracking for all disposition activities.
Requirements:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in engineering support, manufacturing, warehouse operations, quality, or inventory control preferred.
Pay:
