Job Description

A leading global industrial engineering powerhouse is looking for a Project Engineer to join their specialized transit services division, managing the technical integrity and operational excellence of driverless rail systems. •This is a contract-based Project Engineer position with benefits and a severance package provided if the project is terminated early.• Project is located in Dulles VA focused on the lifecycle of Automated People Mover (APM) Revamp projects .
Financials & Employment Term Contract Nature:
This is a project-aligned employment contract. Continuation beyond the specific project term is evaluated based on business needs and future project availability.
Salary:
$140,000 per year
Comprehensive Health:
Medical, dental, and vision plans 401(k)
Paid Time Off:
11 paid holidays plus vacation, sick, and personal days.
Travel:
25%-50% travel required. The role may transition to other U.S. sites (e.g., Georgia) as projects conclude in Dulles.
Key Responsibilities Project Execution:
Develop and control detailed schedules, execution strategies, and project milestones in alignment with cost and quality requirements.
Technical Leadership:
Develop, review, and approve engineering deliverables, including design calculations, drawings, and procurement specifications.
Stakeholder Management:
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal engineering teams.
Field Operations:
Lead site activities such as field surveys, installation supervision, and testing/commissioning.
Troubleshooting:
Perform root cause analysis on system issues and develop comprehensive repair and maintenance plans.
Candidate Requirements Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in a Project Engineer role (Civil, Electrical, Field, or Industrial).
Technical Skills:
Experience in project development (design through commissioning) and knowledge of industrial plans and specifications. Microsoft applications and CAD software.
Physical Ability:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and navigate industrial environments (climbing, crawling, and kneeling)
