We specialize in the design, source, supply, installation and commissioning of critical power and energy management solutions - from the power grid all the way to the factory process equipment and Data Center IT rack - coupled with comprehensive service and maintenance, security, consulting and training. Field Technician The Field Technician will go to customer sites to troubleshoot and test mechanical equipment in a hyperscale data center landscape. They will work with their team members as well as outside stakeholders to ensure that key customer objectives are achieved. They will be responsible for the completion of technical documentation. They must be motivated, eager to learn, detail oriented and mechanically curious. Field Technician Roles and Responsibilities Conduct Field Tests of Mechanical Equipment and Installation Troubleshoot Critical Mechanical Equipment Communicate with Customers and Outside Stakeholders Act as the Subject Matter Expert Job Qualifications Desired qualifications/skills include: 1-2 years of industry experience with mechanical systems including heat exchangers, air handlers, pumps, fans, valves and controls instrumentation. Technical degrees/certifications in relevant fields (STEM, MEP, SCADA) Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills Experience commissioning HVAC, cooling, or critical infrastructure systems Strong documentation and reporting skills Ability to work independently as well as in teams Willingness to travel is required (No more than 25%) Knowledge of IRHX/Heat Exchanger systems and heat transfer principles (preferred) Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings (preferred) Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) and controls integration (preferred) Knowledge of LV electrical systems and safe isolation procedures (preferred) Experience performing functional testing, start-up, and commissioning activities (preferred) Understanding of data center cooling infrastructure (preferred). Ideal Backgrounds Candidates with experience in: Data center commissioning Mission critical facilities HVAC commissioning/Installation Controls and automation Industrial refrigeration Power generation or utility systems Mechanical/electrical field service engineering Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
