Overview Founded in 1996, Logos Technologies LLC (Logos) is a diversified science, engineering and technology company, with headquarters in Northern Virginia. Logos specializes in the fields of advanced sensors, wide-area motion imagery, advanced analytics and processing of large, multisource datasets. We serve multiple government and commercial customers worldwide with wide-area persistent surveillance solutions that are critical to the success of their missions in national defense, public safety and border security, and humanitarian assistance. Job Summary Logos Technologies is seeking a full-time Mechanical Engineer to support ongoing technology development efforts at our Fairfax, VA office. This role will contribute to ISR sensor design, high‑powered laser systems, and unmanned aerial vehicle integration.
In this role you will:
provide knowledge and understanding of mechanical engineering concepts and procedures; apply mechanical engineering principles and concepts; and draw solutions from both formal training and experience. Responsibilities Assist in the conceptual development and design of various systems from project proposal throughout kickoff Develop products from conceptual theories to deployable products Work with and manage a broad set of subcontractors for component and subassembly manufacture Assist in the creation and management of project deliverables, including, but not limited to detailed project plans, project schedules, resource plans, risk assessment/issue tracking, and status reports for customer and Logos management. Partner closely with Logos management and technical leads on technical direction and approach relating to project planning and execution. Experience packaging optical and electrical assemblies Familiarity with surveillance/reconnaissance systems Machine shop and/or Additive Manufacturing experience Ability to provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems with only general direction, Ability to independently determine and develop approaches to solutions. Be a self-starter with ability to perform duties with minimal management and oversight. Ability to function equally effectively as a team member on a group project or unmanaged on an individual effort Qualifications Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with 2-4 years of experience or a Master's degree and 0-2 years of experience Understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts Proficiency in SolidWorks, and other design and modeling tools. Experience in design for manufacturing. Active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one. U.S. citizenship
