At Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo), located in Richland, Washington, we are working to provide a sustainable future for the historic Hanford area through the protection of the Columbia River and the remediation of the Central Plateau. As a Central Waste Complex/Waste Receiving and Processing/Low Level Burial Grounds (CWC/WRAP/LLBG) Engineer, your primary responsibilities would include, but not be limited to:
  • Report directly to the
CWC/WRAP/LLBG/CHWP
engineering manager.
  • Qualify as a Design Authority / System Engineer for assigned systems.
  • Assist/Lead in projects as assigned to support the WP&O organization achieve their goals.
  • Ensure designs and modifications are consistent and do not challenge the Facility Nuclear Safety Basis.
  • Ensure documents prepared are conducted in accordance with all applicable contractual requirements, company procedures, and applicable standard code requirements.
  • Frequently communicate and interact with all management levels within the project, facility, central engineering, as well as, Department of Energy, Ecology, and any other regulatory agency as necessary.
  • Maintain an environment where employees are free to raise safety issues, ethical concerns, or improvement initiatives. Basic Qualifications
  • Engineer Grade 19 - Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline plus 8 years of relevant experience and at least 1 years of required relevant experience must be nuclear experience.
  • Engineer Grade 20 - Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline plus 10 years of relevant experience and at least 1 years of required relevant experience must be nuclear experience.
The higher posted level has greater scope, complexity, authority, impact. The level offered to the selected candidate will be based on the needs of the company and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience. Desired Qualifications
  • Design Authority / System Engineer
  • HVAC experience
  • Mechanical design experience, including piping.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) License
  • Extensive experience working in a multidiscipline engineering environment with engineering processes and procedures
  • DOD or DOE experience Compensation & Benefits In accordance with the CPCCo salary determination process, CPCCo takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities, and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market.
CPCCo will not solicit salary history for candidates. Expected annualized pay range based on full time schedule (40 hours per week):
  • Grade 19: $104,200 - $166,650.
  • Grade 20: $114,700 - $183,450.
In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for variable pay awards.
