As a Mechanical Research Engineer on the Data Center Technology Systems (DCTS), a multidisciplinary group of engineers and architects dedicated to designing next-generation data centers, you will play a key role in developing, analyzing, and optimizing the mechanical cooling infrastructure. You will use various analytical tools to reveal important data points in the design process for efficient mechanical systems. You will be an excellent communicator, able to articulate complex ideas concisely across all digital mediums and provide recommendations to cross-functional engineers and architects to enhance our data centers' mechanical systems and accelerate construction. - + Develop chip-to-chiller steady-state and transient models to optimize performance and predict complex failure modes through system-level energy and failure analyses.
+ Investigate and innovate next-generation mechanical systems and emerging cooling technologies using thermodynamic principles to align with the strategic company objectives + Create system-level concepts and schematic designs while guiding technology engagement through cross-functional collaboration with Engineering and Operations teams. + Perform evaluations factoring in Capital Expenditure (Capex), utility consumption to vet proposals from internal innovators, research institutes, and external suppliers. + Author technical documentation and white papers to present research findings to leadership, ensuring infrastructure is optimized for the evolving demands of the machine learning fleet.
