Job Description
Responsibilities Develop automation solutions for manufacturing customers by understanding their goals, challenges, and technical requirements. Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through close, including qualification, solution development, and negotiation. Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers across multiple industries. Create territory and account plans and execute against annual sales targets. Work closely with internal engineering, project, and support teams to define solutions and present a clear value case to customers. Deliver presentations and clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences. Coordinate proposals, review customer requirements, and ensure accurate documentation in the CRM. Support customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events and maintain consistent outbound engagement. Provide timely follow up on service and support issues and assist with project communication as needed. Participate in ongoing sales and technical training and contribute to team knowledge and development. Travel up to 50 percent to support customer meetings, site visits, and events. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or five plus years of relevant industry experience. Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical control components and industrial controls platforms. Proven experience in technical sales or selling engineered solutions. Skilled in negotiation, customer communication, and presenting complex solutions clearly. Ability to manage multiple accounts, prioritize effectively, and hit defined sales metrics. Comfortable working both independently and in a collaborative team environment. Experience working with automation or industrial equipment strongly preferred. Ability to travel regularly and work in customer environments including manufacturing facilities. Contract negotiation experience is a plus.
