Mechanical Engineer Req #8341 Silverdale, WA, USA Apply Share Job Description Posted Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at 1:00 AM SpecPro Sustainment and Environmental (SSE) is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Northwest (NAVFAC Northwest), Planning Design and Construction Directorate, Design Division (PDC4) in Silverdale, WA. The Mechanical Engineer will provide design technical support for major new construction and renovation projects involving mechanical building systems and infrastructure.
What You'll Do:
Design HVAC and plumbing systems for new construction and renovation projects. Support design of chilled water, DX, DOAS, VAV, VRF, HVAC control, domestic water, compressed air, medical gas, and related systems. Review designs, technical reports, RFIs, construction submittals, and project deliverables. Prepare technical recommendations and support construction field activities. Coordinate with NAVFAC personnel, project stakeholders, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
What You Bring:
Required:
Minimum of six (6) years of Design Management and/or Design experience performing applicable mechanical engineering tasks. Experience designing HVAC and plumbing systems for new construction and renovation projects with construction costs exceeding $20M or POL systems on projects exceeding $10M. Experience with a variety of HVAC and plumbing systems and equipment. Knowledge of DoD Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC). Experience using AutoCAD 2022 and Revit 2021. Strong written and oral communication skills. Must be a U.S. citizen and possess a valid driver's license. Must be able to successfully complete required background and security screening. Four-year degree from an accredited Engineering college curriculum required. Minimum of six (6) years of applicable Design Management and/or Design experience required.
Preferred:
U.S. Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Mechanical Engineering is highly desirable. All offers are contingent upon a thorough background check conducted on all final candidates, as deemed necessary and per State and Federal laws.
