Candidates selected for roles will be employed as contract workers through a Boeing approved 3rd party for the duration of the specified project. In this critical role, you will serve as the primary interface between our organization and key suppliers, ensuring seamless integration of technical, schedule, and certification requirements. You will play a pivotal role in guiding equipment through the full qualification lifecycle, from drawing review to FAA certification, while maintaining the highest standards of technical rigor and program execution. Responsibilities:
Lead technical supplier management activities in support of a rapid-prototype program Manage and integrate supplier schedules to ensure alignment with program milestones Perform technical drawing review and approval in accordance with program requirements Oversee and manage qualification test deliverables from suppliers Manage conformity activities to ensure hardware meets design and regulatory requirements Oversee qualification test execution at supplier facilities Lead and support FAA certification efforts related to equipment qualification Serve as the primary technical liaison between the program team and equipment suppliers
Skills:
Strong understanding of FAA certification processes and regulatory requirements Demonstrated ability to manage supplier relationships in a technical capacity Proficiency in reviewing and approving engineering drawings and technical documentation Experience with qualification test planning, execution, and reporting Solid understanding of conformity inspection processes Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities Preferred experience with mission computing systems and avionics equipment Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, rapid-prototype program environment
Experience:
10 to 15 years of senior or highly experienced background in equipment or program management within the aerospace or defense industry Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in qualification testing of airborne equipment or systems Prior experience supporting FAA certification programs strongly preferred Experience working with external suppliers in a technical oversight capacity
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline FAA Designated Engineering Representative credentials or familiarity with DER processes is a plus Relevant industry certifications in program or engineering management are a plus Pay Rate Range 95 - 100 USD hourly
