Role Description The Mechanical P.E. at Atlas Mechanical Inc. is a full-time, on-site role based in Woodland, WA. This role is responsible for designing, reviewing, and approving mechanical systems for commercial and industrial plumbing and HVAC projects, ensuring compliance with codes and standards. Day-to-day tasks include performing system calculations, creating and reviewing drawings, coordinating with project managers and field teams, and conducting site inspections to verify installation quality. The Mechanical P.E. will troubleshoot mechanical issues, provide technical guidance to technicians, and support maintenance planning to optimize system performance. The role also includes documenting engineering decisions, preparing reports, and collaborating with clients and contractors to meet project requirements and timelines. Qualifications Strong Mechanical Engineering foundation with experience in commercial/industrial systems and familiarity with relevant codes and standards. Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for creating, reviewing, and revising mechanical drawings and layouts. Experience with Maintenance planning and execution for plumbing and HVAC systems, including troubleshooting and performance optimization. Inspection skills for evaluating mechanical installations, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with specifications. General mechanical aptitude, including Automotive or similar hands-on mechanical experience, demonstrating practical problem-solving ability. Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Mechanical Engineering, or ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe. Effective communication skills for coordinating with field crews, project managers, clients, and vendors. Ability to work on-site in Woodland, WA, including occasional travel to local job sites as needed. Experience with construction documentation, submittal review, and basic project management is beneficial.
