About the Role As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will lead the development of bespoke automated systems, transforming complex concepts into high-performance machinery. You will leverage your technical expertise in Solidworks and power transmission to drive innovation and deliver custom solutions that push the boundaries of industrial automation. Responsibilities Architect and detail unique automated machinery, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Select and integrate critical components such as motors, gearboxes, vacuum systems, and precision sensors. Generate comprehensive bills of materials to streamline the procurement and assembly workflow. Utilize Solidworks to create intricate 3D models and detailed engineering documentation. Provide technical oversight during the manufacturing, testing, and final customer acceptance phases. Act as a primary technical point of contact to ensure design intent aligns with client requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Qualifications Required Skills Bachelor's or Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related technical discipline. Demonstrated proficiency in Solidworks and AutoCAD for complex mechanical design. Strong mechanical aptitude with a deep understanding of power transmission and pneumatic systems. Proven ability to manage engineering projects from initial concept through final delivery. Preferred Skills Creative problem-solving skills with a focus on developing novel automation solutions. Experience in a fast-paced, collaborative engineering environment. Strong communication skills to effectively interface with cross-functional teams and external clients.
