1-Year Contract Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Engineering Technician / CAD Support professional to support engineering change control, CAD design updates, manufacturing support, and verification activities within a regulated manufacturing environment. This role will collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, and Quality teams to support continuous improvement initiatives, troubleshooting, and technical documentation. Key Responsibilities Manage and execute Change Controls (MOCs) from initiation through final closeout using MasterControl Perform CAD design and drawing updates using SolidWorks for device components and continuous improvement projects Support design changes involving machined metal, plastic, and sheet metal components Manage verification activities including planning, protocol development, execution, and final reporting Route and maintain controlled documentation within MasterControl following SOPs and traceability requirements Perform part measurements, statistical analysis, and tolerance evaluations , including assembly stack-up analysis Provide technical support to the manufacturing floor by troubleshooting issues, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions Support the design, assembly, and maintenance of mechanical enclosures, components, and test systems Read schematics and engineering drawings to source, specify, and build test fixtures Collaborate with Engineers and Technicians to coordinate project work and technical activities Maintain accurate records in compliance with GDP, GMP, and regulatory requirements Estimate materials and labor requirements for mechanical projects and repairs Follow established safety standards and procedures in all work activities Preferred Qualifications Experience with SolidWorks CAD software Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) preferred Project management experience supporting short- to mid-term projects Familiarity with Windows-based test systems Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills Experience working within regulated manufacturing, medical device, or GMP environments preferred Education & Requirements High School Diploma or GED required Technical, mechanical, manufacturing, engineering support, or CAD experience strongly preferred Benefits (employee contribution): Health insurance Health savings account Dental insurance Vision insurance Flexible spending accounts Life insurance Retirement plan All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
