What You'll Do As an Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for designing custom automation systems and guiding projects from initial concept through final installation. You'll collaborate closely with engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, and customers to ensure every project is delivered successfully.
Responsibilities include:
Design custom automated equipment and mechanical systems using 3D CAD software. Develop detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings. Work with purchasing to source components and ensure materials are available for production. Support the assembly team during equipment build and troubleshoot mechanical issues as needed. Assist with system integration, testing, and commissioning. Travel to customer facilities to support equipment installation, startup, and project completion. Collaborate with electrical engineers, controls engineers, manufacturing personnel, vendors, and customers throughout each project. Continuously improve designs for performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost. Qualifications Associates Degree or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field. Associate degrees preferred. Experience with mechanical design and CAD software (SolidWorks preferred). Problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Hands-on mechanical aptitude and willingness to work on the shop floor when needed. $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
