$95,000 to $130,000 per year, plus bonus and profit sharing Own custom automated machines from first concept to final build. The design work includes robotics, vision systems and high-speed assembly for major manufacturers. Must-Haves BSME or similar degree with strong mechanical design skills 5+ years designing fully custom automated production equipment (not modifying standard products) SolidWorks Welding, fixture design and GD&T experience Strong written and verbal communication skills What You'll Do Lead the full design of custom automated machines, from concept to completion Work solo on smaller projects and lead design engineers and contractors on larger ones Break large projects into tasks, set milestones and hold the team accountable Design with robotics, vision, welding, fixtures, controls, material handling, hydraulics and pneumatics Manage project budgets and design release schedules Keep customers and management updated on project status Report to the Mechanical Engineering Manager Nice-to-Haves Robotics, vision systems, controls or data acquisition experience Direct customer and supplier experience Experience leading a team or large project to a schedule Compensation and Benefits $95,000 to $130,000 base salary Bonus and profit sharing 401(k) with 3% match Health, dental, vision, life, disability and accident insurance Paid vacation and holidays Relocation assistance About the Company A long-established, roughly 100-person builder of custom automated production equipment for the automotive, energy, appliance and consumer products industries.
