Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems Create and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, and BOMs Perform engineering calculations, tolerance analyses, and design reviews Support prototype builds, testing, validation, and product improvements Collaborate with manufacturing to ensure design for manufacturability and assembly (DFM/DFA) Troubleshoot mechanical issues and support root‑cause analysis Support new product introductions and engineering change processes Work with suppliers on component specifications and technical requirements Ensure designs comply with safety standards, codes, and regulatory requirements Document engineering work and contribute to standardization efforts
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field 2+ years of mechanical engineering experience (adjust as needed) Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD, or similar) Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and materials Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or product development environment Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack‑up analysis Experience with FEA, testing, or validation activities Familiarity with ERP systems and engineering change management Project management or cross‑functional team experience
Work Environment:
Combination of office, lab, and shop floor environments May require hands‑on support during builds, testing, and troubleshooting Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
