Job Description

Mechanical Engineer Position Description The Mechanical Engineer reports and receives work assignments from the Project Manager. The responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineer are to use correct procedures, standards and methods that will produce quality product and become knowledgeable with all McClean Anderson products.
Pay:
Hourly, based on experience Duration / Hours per week: Full time, 40 hours per week Shift /
Work Day:
First shift, Monday through
Friday Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Requirements 2 years prior work experience. The ability to work in a group environment. Required to be a self-starter, able to work well without close direction. Strong knowledge of AutoCAD. Experience Solidworks a plus. Strong math skills. To communicate honestly, openly and effectively (both verbally and in writing) to customers and fellow workers. The general, long-term duties and responsibilities of the job include, but are not limited to the following. Duties and Responsibilities Design and specify mechanical components and systems for McClean Anderson machinery. Oversee the procurement, manufacture, test and burn-in of said filament winding equipment. Verify the compliance of McClean Anderson machinery to various safety standards. Communicate with customers during the design phase of machinery to determine machine form and function. Participate in the support of McClean Anderson products by working in conjunction with McClean service staff. Interpret rough sketches and take verbal instructions. Create detailed working drawings using the CAD system. Includes final assemblies, weldments, piece parts and bills of material. Answer technical questions concerning drawings in the machine shop, fabrication shop and vendors.
