Job Description

Phoenix Modular is currently looking for a qualified drafting designer. We are a commercial modular manufacturing company that specializes in the design, engineering and production of custom modular buildings to a wide range of industries. The drafting designer is responsible for generating a complete and accurate file of prints including specs, floorplans, electrical, mechanical and plumbing from sketches, specifications and written and verbal instructions using computer-aided drafting. Must be proficient in AutoCAD formats and team oriented. Responsibilities and Duties
  • Drafts project drawing which includes: o Creating working drawings for customer sign-off, state and production o Miscellaneous details and drawings o Updating structural standards & sales bid drawings
  • Presents questions to Sales and/or research as needed for clarification on projects.
  • Submits complete and accurate plans to Supervisor for review.
  • Addresses and incorporates red-lines from plan review accurately.
  • Submits prints for customer and state to the Project Coordinator.
  • Schedules and attends pre-customer and pre-production meetings.
  • Revises prints per customer red-lines clouding modifications, as required.
  • Processes complete and accurate prints including all necessary corrections for final release.
  • Addresses questions raised by sales, purchasing, and production as needed.
  • Keeps work station and common department areas neat and organized.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned. Benefits
