Senior MEP Drafter

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Drafter to join our dynamic engineering team. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your expertise in technical drafting and design to develop detailed MEP construction documents and models that bring complex projects to life. Responsibilities Create comprehensive 2D and 3D MEP drawings, schematics, and layouts using AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, NavisWorks, to accurately represent mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Develop detailed mechanical designs and drafting for a variety of construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications. Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and construction teams to interpret design concepts into precise technical drawings. Utilize BIM (Building Information Modeling) tools to produce coordinated models that facilitate clash detection and project visualization. Prepare detailed schematics and technical documentation for construction purposes while maintaining version control and revision histories. Support project teams during construction by providing clear drawings and resolving drafting-related issues promptly. Incorporate feedback from project stakeholders to refine designs and ensure accuracy throughout all project phases. Skills Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit and NavisWorks. Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and drafting standards within the MEP industry. Experience creating detailed schematics for electrical systems, plumbing layouts, HVAC ductwork, piping diagrams, and related components. Ability to interpret architectural plans and integrate them with MEP systems effectively. Familiarity with construction processes and the ability to produce drawings suitable for on-site implementation. Excellent attention to detail combined with active problem-solving skills to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Pay:

$60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
