Electrical Drafter Job Description We are seeking an Electrical Drafter to join our team in South Florida. This role involves providing electrical drafting support for industrial projects, specifically in water and wastewater treatment. The drafting work includes electrical distribution and controls, with additional support for HVAC, plumbing, process piping, and conveyance as needed. Responsibilities Develop CAD drawings in coordination with Design Engineers for water and wastewater projects. Set up drawings according to established CAD standards. Coordinate with the CAD requirements of clients. Draft electrical drawings including electrical distribution and controls for water and wastewater projects. Conduct field validation of the drawings. Essential Skills 5+ years of electrical drafting experience with AutoCAD MEP. Experience with Revit is highly preferred. Working knowledge of CAD standards and practices. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with supervisors, colleagues, and clients. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in mechanical and plumbing design. Knowledge in HVAC design. Proficiency in Revit MEP. Work Environment The company culture is very casual and informal. Our company is based in Detroit, with offices in Indianapolis, Cleveland, and South Florida. The office in Ft. Lauderdale currently has six people and is growing rapidly. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Lauderdale, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00/hr.
