Job Description
Full Job Description Objective:
BIM Technicians use hardware and software technology to support preconstruction to the final completion of a project. Technicians maintain all documents to ensure that the project is completed effectively within cost, schedule, and quality parameters. BIM Technicians uphold the company's core values of integrity, service, leadership, empowerment, and innovation while demonstrating a dedicated and results-driven work ethic.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare plans, layouts, assembly drawings, and details for plumbing/mechanical building design using BIM content standards and procedures
- Prepare and maintain fabrication drawing packages to ensure accuracy and adhere to company standards
- Prepare total station files to be used for field layout
- Assist in modeling content for pre-construction
- Assist with the job setup of a new project
- Assist with the printing, plotting, copying, and filing of documents for record
- Assist with a wide range of other detailing tasks
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Working knowledge of Revit
- Knowledge of Autodesk Fabrication CADMep, Navisworks Manage, and Revit are preferred
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, both professional and interpersonal
- The ability to work both independently and within a team
- A responsible, organized, and detail-oriented mindset
- Refined time management skills and the ability to multi-task
- Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills, in addition to strong math and science skills
Work Environment Considerations:
- Must be able to work in high-pressure situations facing strict deadlines
- Most hours will be in the office, but some trips to job sites and customer locations are required
- Must be familiar with job site safety requirements and be prepared to wear a hardhat, work boots, and safety glasses at potentially hazardous job site

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Associate Degree in Drafting Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent preferred
