Shift Job Summary :
We are seeking a Drafting & Design Specialist to support mechanical design and manufacturing activities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SolidWorks, 3D modeling, engineering drawings, and GD&T , preferably within an aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Create, modify, and maintain 2D engineering drawings and 3D CAD models using SolidWorks. Develop designs for mechanical components, tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing equipment. Apply GD&T and
ASME Y14.5
standards to engineering drawings. Interpret engineering specifications, drawings, and manufacturing requirements. Support manufacturing teams with design and drafting documentation. Maintain accurate CAD files, revisions, and engineering documentation using PDM/PLM systems . Collaborate with engineers, manufacturing personnel, and other technical teams to resolve design and production issues. Support designs involving welding, brazing, and other part-joining processes . Apply knowledge of hydraulic systems and mechanical components when applicable. Work with ERP/MES systems; SAP experience is a plus . Ensure designs and drawings meet applicable engineering and manufacturing standards. Required Qualifications Experience with SolidWorks CAD software . Strong understanding of mechanical drafting and 3D modeling . Working knowledge of
GD&T / ASME Y14.5
. Experience with engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and drafting standards. Experience with tool, fixture, or mechanical design . Manufacturing environment experience. Preferred Qualifications Aerospace manufacturing experience. Experience with PDM/PLM systems . Experience with SAP, ERP, or MES systems . Knowledge of hydraulic systems . Knowledge of welding and brazing processes . Experience designing manufacturing tooling and fixtures.
