Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Draftsman to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings, schematics, and system designs that support various construction and manufacturing projects. Your expertise in BIM software and mechanical design principles will be essential in translating conceptual ideas into accurate, detailed plans that adhere to industry standards and codes. Duties Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings using Chief Architect software Create comprehensive schematics and technical illustrations for construction, manufacturing, and engineering applications Collaborate with engineers and project managers to interpret design specifications and translate them into precise drawings aligned with industry standards such as codes & standards Conduct system design reviews, assembly modeling, and validate structural integrity and performance Prepare technical documentation including assembly instructions, technical writing, and system schematics for manufacturing or construction purposes Use advanced design software and adobe applications for markup review and project coordination during construction phases Qualifications Proven experience in drafting within mechanical engineering or construction environments with a strong portfolio of CAD drawings Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; familiarity with Revit, MicroStation, SolidWorks, Creo, Autodesk Inventor, and Pro/ENGINEER is highly desirable Solid understanding of GD&T principles and ASME codes & standards governing mechanical design Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, schematic development, system design processes, and assembly techniques Ability to interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and engineering drawings accurately Excellent technical writing skills for creating clear documentation and instructions Experience with BIM software for structural analysis is a plus Familiarity with 2D animation tools for visualizing complex mechanical systems is advantageous Join us as an architectural designer to leverage your technical expertise in a fast-paced environment where innovation meets precision.
