Niles, MI (Onsite) About the Opportunity The Ranger Group is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Designer for a contract-to-hire opportunity with a leading manufacturer of aerospace and industrial control systems. Our client designs and produces energy control technologies used in aircraft, engines, and industrial equipment — precision systems where mechanical and electrical design have to work hand in hand. This role is primarily focused on mechanical design and drafting, working in Inventor and AutoCAD , while collaborating closely with the Electrical Engineering team and taking design inputs from them. You don't need to be an OrCAD expert coming in, but you should be comfortable expanding your toolset and picking it up over time. Responsibilities Perform mechanical design and drafting using Inventor and AutoCAD Collaborate with Electrical Engineering to incorporate design inputs into mechanical assemblies Apply strong GD&T principles to ensure design accuracy and manufacturability Read and interpret both electrical and mechanical schematics Support cross-functional design reviews and iterations Requirements 3+ years of electromechanical design experience 1+ years of hands-on experience with both Inventor and AutoCAD Strong command of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) Ability to read and understand both electrical and mechanical schematics Nice to Have Experience with OrCAD Experience with NX Familiarity with stack-up analysis
