Drafting Technician

Job Overview Applequist Manufacturing, a manufacturer of agricultural equipment, is seeking a Drafting Technician to provide 3D modeling support to engineers developing agricultural equipment. This position will be in the Assaria office and is scheduled Monday - Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm. Duties Collaborate with the Engineering team on projects to transfer specifications and concepts into detailed drawings. Coordinate with Engineering to determine project requirements, priorities, and deadlines. Organize and manage multiple drawing assignments while meeting established timelines. Prepare completed drawing sets for distribution to Engineering. Develop detailed drawings of new and revised parts and assemblies according to 3D models, engineering sketches and design proposals. Assist design team with prototype and production releases of new and revised parts and weldments. Position instructions, symbols, and comments onto drawings that illustrate and describe installations and maintenance details Qualifications One - two years of experience as a Drafter, with experience in computer-aided design and drafting. Proficiency in SolidWorks. Understanding of manufacturing methods. Knowledge of farming practices and equipment. Ability to work well in a team as well as individually is a must. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and priorities effectively.
