Mechanical Drafter Machining & Wireline Tooling

Now operating as part of the CCI Group of Companies, Frederick's Manufacturing is expanding its capabilities. Position Summary Frederick's is seeking an experienced Mechanical Drafter to support machining and wireline tooling operations. This role requires practical, production‑focused drafting skills and a strong understanding of how parts are manufactured on the shop floor. Key Responsibilities Produce accurate, production-ready 2D/3D drawings for machined parts, assemblies, and tooling Apply proper dimensions, tolerances, GD&T, materials, and manufacturing notes Support components manufactured on CNC machines, Mazak equipment, and manual lathes and mills Revise drawings based on engineering changes, shop feedback, and quality requirements Work directly with machinists and engineering to resolve manufacturability and fit issues Support wireline and downhole tooling projects (experience strongly preferred)

Qualifications & Experience Required:

Proven mechanical drafting experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and tolerances Proficiency with SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar CAD software Ability to create clear, accurate drawings that can go straight to the shop

Preferred:

Wireline, downhole, or oil & gas equipment experience Working knowledge of

GD&T CNC
