$75K-$110K (salary depends on experience)Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Mechanical/Piping Designer to develop detailed mechanical and piping drawings and BIM models for commercial and multifamily building projects. The role focuses on producing accurate HVAC, plumbing, and piping design documentation using AutoCAD and Revit, coordinating with engineers and architects, and supporting project delivery from design through construction.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduce detailed mechanical, piping, and HVAC drawings, schematics, and plans in AutoCAD and RevitCreate and maintain BIM/Revit models to the required Level of Development (LOD) and ensure model coordination with other disciplinesDevelop piping isometrics, equipment schedules, riser diagrams, and system schematicsCoordinate mechanical and piping systems with architectural, structural, and electrical teams to resolve clashes and ensure constructabilitySize and select mechanical equipment, pumps, valves, and piping components based on design criteria and codesQualificationsMinimum 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Designer, Piping Designer, or Mechanical DrafterDemonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for producing mechanical and piping drawings and BIM modelsStrong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing design, piping materials, and piping layout practicesFamiliarity with building codes, standards, and best practices for mechanical and plumbing systemsExcellent coordination skills and experience resolving interdisciplinary clashes in a BIM environmentTechnical diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Drafting, or related field preferredStrong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with engineers, architects, contractors, and clientsWillingness to perform site visits and support construction phase coordinationCandidates who fill out skills and questions move to the front of the application process!
