Job Description

The Technical Drawing Administrator (TDA) manages EPA-RTP's large library of facility drawings using AutoCAD and related software, ensuring all drawings accurately reflect current conditions. This position supports the contractor's engineering and maintenance activities by providing accurate as-built documentation and drafting services across all EPA-RTP facilities. Responsibilities Update all laboratory casework and partition drawings whenever changes are made to the facility Update fume hood and ductwork drawings as modifications occur Provide drawings for all EPA area facilities as required by the COR and engineering staff Update all Government-owned drawings (CAD, AutoCAD, PDF, and paper formats) to reflect modifications and maintain current as-builts Maintain drawings accessible to EPA employees on the government server and designated FMSD workstations Provide drawings and specifications for small projects to be performed by other EPA prime contractors Provide and maintain drawings reflecting furniture, equipment, utilities, and telecommunications cabling locations and layouts Create stock diagrams, block plans, and schematic space layouts as required using workstation software Scan facility-related drawings into the workstation database as required Manage the large drawing library including sign-out/sign-in tracking and ensuring drawings are returned and updated as required Maintain the workstation database for sharing and retrieval by OCSFO staff via designated workstations and the EPA shared file network Position Requirements Minimum 5 years of AutoCAD drawing experience, including initiating new drawings, updating existing drawings, and incorporating changes based on as-builts Demonstrated experience managing large libraries of CAD drawings, including version control and sign-out/sign-in tracking Experience ensuring drawings are returned and updated as facility modifications are completed Proficiency with AutoCAD and related EPA-licensed software (CMMS, KeyWizard) is expected; training on specific systems may be provided Ability to work with multi-discipline drawings including architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing Strong organizational and file management skills
