Engineering Technician Drafter

Full Time, First Shift, 40 hours/week Longstanding sheet metal manufacturer seeking qualified candidate to join our Engineering Team. Ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail oriented, and possesses excellent communication and people skills. An engineering technician's key responsibility includes, but is not limited to the following:

• Working in CAD (Computer Aided Design) as our lead drafter to update, modify, and create architecture drawings in order to prepare them for production.
• Completing Bill of Materials and processing of ECN's (Engineering Change Notices).
• Creating and modifying 3D models of production parts and assembling them into larger assemblies.
• Creating and exporting BOM and part number information from drawings and Inventor models into the company's ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system and material lists.
• Assisting Engineering Department Foreman and Chief Engineer with other department operations when needed.

Must be 18 years of age or older. An Engineering Technician will possess the following requirements: An Associate's Degree in Engineering or a related field. Experience with 3D Solid Modeling and 2D drawing is essential and required. Proficiency with AutoCAD, Inventor, (and/or similar 3D Solid Modeling software package) is preferred. Knowledge of architectural blueprint reading, strong math skills and Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel & Access) is required. Pay structure will be based on the candidate's experience, education, and qualifications with a minimum starting rate between $20/hour-$25hour.
