Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Drafter/Planner, where you'll play a pivotal role in translating complex mechanical and system designs into precise, detailed drawings and plans. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects across manufacturing and engineering sectors. As a key contributor, you'll utilize your technical expertise and drafting skills to ensure seamless project execution, supporting both design development and construction phases. Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Engineering Technology, CAD/CAM or equivalent.
  • Proficient in CAD 3D solid modeling software (Inventor Preferred).
  • Experience in CAD software to create models/drawings that will be used to manufacture a variety of parts, weldments and assemblies.
  • Basic knowledge in manufacturing and methods of manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of preparing Bills of Materials of parts/assemblies for the purchase of raw materials and subcontracted parts.
  • Experience in preparing contract operation sheets (Travelers or Routers) that will accompany the drawings and be released to Manufacturing to produce parts, weldments or assemblies
  • A team player that works well in a team environment but also works independently on assignments to meet team goals.
  • Communicates well and effectively with others.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Creates 3D models and 2D drawings using AutoCAD or Inventor software to support manufacturing of mechanical parts, weldments and assemblies
  • Prepares Bills of Materials in order to define those parts and materials needed to produce a manufactured assembly
  • Prepares operation sheets (Travelers or Routers) to define the operations required to manufacture a finished part
  • Print, sort and organize contract drawings for the manufacturing departments
  • Produce engineering change documentation, drawing changes, and drawing error corrections
  • Maintains proper drafting standards and company policies and procedures
  • Cross Train with other departments
Pay:
$24.00 - $30.00 per hour
