The Engineering Technician will support various teams by delivering basic industrial compressor solutions that meets our customer needs. Services provided shall conform to the company specifications and be completed in accordance with project timelines. They shall have foundational understanding in industrial air compressor systems. Daily work will be directed by the department manager.Essential Job Duties:
Able to interpret assembly/electrical/P&ID drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions. Create component CAD/Drawings and 3D assemblies based on customer requirements. Assist in creating product assembly drawings, electrical schematics, P&ID drawings, test documents, and manuals across various product lines; new and sustaining. Setup parts and detailed BOMs/configurators and generates validation documentation. Assist with standard product design activities. Support multi-stage design release process, submittals, and production release. Provide customer facing project management as defined by sales order timelines. Capable of assisting with various projects concurrently.Additional Job Duties:
Support daily production and commissioning activities. Technical point of contact for Production, Customer Service, Field Engineering, etc. Assists with component selection for modifications, add-ons, retro kits, sequencers. Assists with sales orders, cost estimates, design consultation, and installations. Assists with alternate part selection to offset part shortages or cost savings initiatives.Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Engineering, ASME preferred and 3+ years of relevant mechanical and electrical system design support. Basic experience specifying mechanical, electrical, and controls solutions.Preferred Skills:
Basic 3D solid modeling expertise, large assembly management and development of detailed drawings (CREO/Windchill and Microstation experience preferred) Basic knowledge in fabrication and assembly procedures, tools, and techniques. Basic with electrical controls/components, 4-20mA signals, 480VAC power wiring, 120VAC control, 24VDC control, and HMIs controls. Able to perform hands on field mechanical and electrical system trouble shooting. Comfortable in a fast paced, rapid change environment; multi-task projects. Good communication and organizational skills with a focus on customer care. Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Understand the use and function of various measurement instruments; Fluke multimeter, current sensor, pressure sensors, dB(A) meter, vibrometer, etc. Able to accept training, continued education, and direction from teamPhysical Demands:
Exert force of 50-100 lbs. occasionally and 25-50 lbs. frequently, 10-20 lbs. constantly. Working at a computer/desk/phone for long periods of time.Job Type:
