(OSI) is North America's largest and most complete wholesale manufacturer and supplier of pipe organ related parts and materials. Role Overview OSI is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Draftsman to join our design team. In this role your skills and expertise will be used in the design and drafting of detailed technical drawings of various parts used throughout the pipe organ. Communication is of the utmost importance as you will be working with Customers OSI Sales and the team of skilled craftspeople on the OSI manufacturing floor. Responsibilities
- Create and modify detailed technical drawings using CAD software, ensuring to meet OSI standards while meeting customer requirements.
- Collaborate with the OSI sales team to gather all information required for production and translate that into detailed designs.
- Review and revise drawings based on feedback from OSI team members and from customer input upon their review.
- Organize all drafts and communications such as revisions and project materials.
- Mentor any junior draftsman Required Qualifications
- 8 plus years of experience in drafting and/or related fields.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Drafting, or related field.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Inventor, or other CAD software.
- Attention to detail and meticulous record keeping.
- Creative mind with an eye for design and capabilities to understand spatial concerns. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with 3D printing
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM software
- Wood and metal working
- Self-starter with desire to learn.
- Knowledge of materials and construction methods in Pipe Organ Industry.
- Able to multitask with several projects and people to manage
- Excellent communicator whether verbally, written, or in drawing form.
- Emphasis on documentation of process and sharing of information.
