Mechanical Drafter BAM Workforce Solutions is partnering with a growing manufacturing company in search of a Mechanical Drafter to join their team. This is a permanent, direct-hire, on-site opportunity for someone who's computer savvy, detail-oriented, and comfortable working primarily in SolidWorks. Entry-level candidates are welcome. SolidWorks exposure from high school, college, or coursework will be considered, and this is a great fit for someone who wants to build a long-term career in drafting and documentation, not a stepping stone into an engineering role.

Overview:

Convert legacy drawings (paper and AutoCAD) into SolidWorks using current company standards Create new designs and drawings to support new product development Manage engineering documentation — drawings, specs, redlines, as-builds — through its full lifecycle, ensuring accuracy and version control Release documentation through

ECR/ECN/DCN

processes into the company's EDM and MRP systems Collaborate cross-functionally to keep approvals moving and resolve discrepancies Support audits, inventory control, and reporting on document status

Requirements:

Proficiency in SolidWorks (professional, college, or high school-level experience considered) Computer savvy with strong technical aptitude Able to read technical drawings, BOMs, parts lists, and specifications Strong attention to detail, organization, and technical writing skills Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Familiarity with AutoCAD a plus Nice to
