In the Drafter role, you will apply fundamental design, drafting, technical illustration, graphic design, animation, and virtual visualization concepts, practices, and procedures in accordance with prevailing military, industrial, and corporate standards. Day to day includes but is not limited to: Develop, review, and update schematics, and engineering drawings using computer-aided design software to depict equipment, and systems. Create/revise detail and assembly drawings from conceptual layouts and sketches in accordance with established drafting standards using 2D/3D CAD software. Perform other drafting duties such as preparing lists of material. Must be able to work from the verbal and written directions of engineering and senior drafting personnel. May be required to research projects independently or acquire subject knowledge by consulting with product developers and applying knowledge of the latest drafting/design technology. Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill Associates degree from an accredited college or university in design and drafting technology or a related mechanical, facility or electrical design field and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; or Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in design and drafting technology or a related mechanical, facility or electrical design field and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
