Your role in Tenova Draughtsman

Description We are looking for a Professional willing to join our Technical Services department, in particular, the team dedicated to Melt Shops technologies. The candidate should have a strong motivation to work within an international and challenging environment. You will carry on the following activities Mainly generate accurate 2D drawings using Autodesk AutoCAD.

Produce 2D drawings from sketches.

Generate 3D models using Autodesk Inventor.

Calculate weights and locate center of gravity of parts and assemblies.

Generate accurate Bill of Materials and parts list.

Apply dimensions, tolerances, fits, weld symbols, and surface finish requirements.

Generate layouts, general arrangements, fabrication and assembly drawings.

Revise drawings based on engineering comments and marked up documents.

Prepare 2D drawings and 3D models to be used in technical proposals. Required profile Associate degree, technical diploma, or vocational certification in Mechanical Drafting, Mechanical Design Technology, CAD Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant drafting experience.

At least 5 years of relevant drafting experience.

Proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD 2D software.

Proficient in Autodesk Inventor 3D software.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.

Must be able to interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels within and outside of the organization.

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks. Preferred Skills or Experience Experience working for an engineering company.

Experience directly related to the steel industry is a plus.
