Position Overview:

The Engineering Associate reports to the Applications Engineer and supports senior engineers with a range of design, drafting, and documentation tasks. This role is responsible for creating and maintaining product and project drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD, while ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with client specifications. The position collaborates with sales and engineering teams to assist with project design, quote development, and overall execution. Additional responsibilities include supporting product testing, maintaining technical documentation, and occasionally interfacing with clients to provide technical support. This is a hands-on role requiring strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to contribute to workflow and production needs in an office/warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:

To assist senior engineers with a variety of engineering tasks.

Primary duties are:

Create and maintain product drawings using SolidWorks and / or AutoCad. Revise and maintain product technical documentation. Create project drawings as needed at direction of senior engineer to client's specification. Work with sales on specific projects to help to develop quotes. Assist with project design and quote development. Assist with product testing as needed. Interface with clients as needed to provide customer support. Hands-on approach to product including assisting workflows to meet month end revenue needs.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering a plus, but not required. At least two (2) years of experience with SolidWorks; certification a plus. AutoCAD experience a plus. Experience in mechanical engineering preferred; electrical engineering experience a plus. Ability to read and revise mechanical drawings. Ability to translate physical measurements into technical drawings. Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Teams. Proficiency with virtual meeting platforms and professional email communication. Experience with hand tools and general mechanical aptitude a plus. Sheet metal experience preferred.
