Job Description
We're looking for a Mid-Level Piping Designer for either of our Conshohocken, PA / Cary, NC / Indianapolis, IN / Cincinnati, OH office area as a Remote or Hybrid role who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients' business. Join us and you'll have the chance to work on projects including state-of-the-art industrial and commercial facilities. You'll be accountable for schedule and technical quality of assigned routine design tasks, as you gain familiarity with the client's expectations, scope, budget and schedule for assigned tasks, you'll effectively recognize and communicate scope and design changes promptly. Your multi-discipline, highly interactive team will review vendor drawings, execute piping design, and develop design estimates. Responsibilities:
Responsible for assisting with the drafting/design effort on projects under supervision of Department Manager and leading a group of designers on small/large capital projects
Ability to perform project metrics/evaluations on performance goals/schedule goals within a specific project or tasks
Gathers information, makes studies, performs calculations, and prepares original rough layouts and sketches to present design proposal
Associate's degree (AA) in Computer Aided Drafting and Design or similar technical degree preferable, but not required.
At least 3+ years of piping design experience
Working knowledge of piping design in 2D/3D modeling software such as AutoCad, Revit, Plant3D , SmartPlant 3D, Naviswork and Revizto.
Interacts with internal and client personnel
Site work and periodic travel required Ideally, you'll also have:
