About the role:
As a Lead Designer CAE you will Contribute to the selection /development / maintenance of CAD engineering and design tools used within the GOS organization. Work with team members to troubleshoot software issues and develop solutions. Support the population and maintenance of plant data associated with multiple engineering applications.. You will report to the Manager, Computer Aided Engineering and be located at Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement, blending remote flexibility with regular on-site collaboration at our office.
Key Responsibilities:
Guide teams of Designers Mentor professionals in the proper method of performing plant design Support the deployment of software products in design space within the CAE team Provide guidance and training on
AVEVA E3D
tool throughout the Global Engineering Organization Capture and communicate best practices across the teams using the tools Work with other engineering departments to understand how to best use the capabilities of the commercial design tools and the data that they contain Work with the Project Manager to plan and track implementation of the
AVEVA E3D
design tool across the technologies that APX supports Support CAE Engineers in the use of data collected from the E3D tool to support total plant quantification
Qualifications:
Minimum of Associates degree in Computer Aided Design, Engineering, or related technical field Minimum of 5 years' experience in GES related engineering field Minimum of 15 years' experience in 3D modeling using PDS Minimum of 3 years' experience in E3D Minimum of 5 years' experience in Autodesk suite of software, including AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, and Vault Strong understanding of a wide variety of CAD software applications We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices.
