Drafting Technician MB Superabrasives Columbia, SC Job Details Full-time $35,000 - $45,000 a year 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications GD&T Document archiving 3D modeling for architectural design Drafting Mechanical knowledge Full Job Description Create component engineering drawings for needed parts including customer detail and all shop drawings, as well as 3D models, needed to make new and next generation products. This may include fixturing and secondary processes. Assign part numbers and save all work in existing system format and archive revision levels. Work with suppliers as needed to answer dimensional and design questions per management. Meet with Management team regularly to discuss design options and direction of functional intent. The candidate will also assist the production manager with production improvements with the construction of secondary equipment or processes while being able to work with a team environment. A strong foundation in SolidWorks is preferred, however good knowledge of other CAD software can be helpful. Also, a knowledge of tolerancing and GD&T fundamentals is a plus. The desired candidate should have good mechanical aptitude and understand basic engineering principles. A two-year degree in drafting is preferred.

Pay:

$35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
