Position Overview:
Apparent Technologies is looking for an Engineering Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong CAD software skills, a background in mechanical design, and experience with metal manufacturing processes. This role involves creating detailed manufacturing drawings and CAD models, supporting the engineering team, and resolving production issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Create accurate and detailed manufacturing drawings and CAD models. Use SolidWorks CAD software to design components and systems. Collaborate with the engineering team on mechanical component design, prototype builds and fixture design. Address immediate production issues and work with management to develop long-term solutions. Maintain familiarity with drawing standards, formatting, and dimensioning.
Requirements:
Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD software. Knowledge of component and system design. Familiarity with drawing standards, formatting, and dimensioning. Basic understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Experience with CAD modeling and assembly drawings. Experience converting 3D models to 2D prints using CAD software.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience with 3D CAD software. Minimum 1 year of manufacturing line experience (preferably in the semiconductor industry).
Desirable Skills:
CMM experience (preferred but not required). Experience with welding and/or machining equipment. Passion for designing and building mechanical systems.
Additional Requirements:
Ability to commute to Austin, TX 78753.
