Cad Description:

Mechanical Drafter - AutoCAD & Inventor Lofton Staffing is currently hiring an experienced Draftsman for a client in South East Houston, TX. This position is ideal for someone with mechanical drafting experience who is comfortable creating both 2D mechanical drawings and 3D models.

Pay:

$22-$40 per hour, based on experience and ability

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:00

PM Job Responsibilities:

Develop detailed mechanical drawings using AutoCAD and Inventor.
Create 2D mechanical drawings for machinists to use during production.
Create 3D solid models and mechanical components.
Develop drawings for mechanical seals and seal components.
Design assemblies based on provided layouts.
Review drawings and layouts for accuracy and completeness.
Make revisions and updates to drawings as required.
Work closely with machinists and other team members to ensure drawings meet production requirements.
Maintain organized and accurate drawing files.
Follow company standards and specifications when creating drawings.

Requirements:

2 or more years of drafting experience preferred.
Experience with AutoCAD.
Experience with Inventor and 3D modeling.
Mechanical drafting experience.
Ability to create accurate 2D mechanical drawings.
Experience creating solid models.
Ability to understand layouts and develop assembly drawings.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Self-motivated and able to work without constant supervision.
Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.

Preferred Experience:

Experience drafting mechanical seals and seal parts.
Experience creating drawings used by machinists.
Experience designing mechanical assemblies.
